We when first met Alexis back in July, we left a couple of disposable cameras along with a blanket and family photo albums. Her caregivers assured us that they knew how to use the cameras and that they would take photos of her for us to see how she was doing while we were waiting to come back for her. We received the cameras back on trip two and I couldn't wait to get them developed once we were home. Granted, the caregivers will not be mistaken for professional photographers, but hey, for a disposable camera, I think they are pretty good. No, that's an understatement.... I think they are priceless gems!!!
Any faces of the other children have been hidden. I am so thankful that Russia granted us the right to be Lexi's parents, so I don't want to violate any of their laws about publishing photos of their children.

What an awesome thing! I wish we would have thought of doing that. I'm sure she'll cherish these photos when she gets older.
What great photos. We left two cameras too, but we only got 8 photos which were too dark to make anything out (plus, two photos of the wall). I think we saw our daughter in one photo playing with Legos.
So glad you were able to see photos of your daughter at the orphanage!
And, Alexis looked cute even when on the potty!
oh wow how much cuteness!! Totally adorable, Lexi was well loved and looked after in her baby home, what a blessing.
They took great pictures for you. We just got back from Russia this week and I haven't developed my pics yet, I hope my daughter's caregiver's did as good as job as your daughter's. Happy New year.
I undersand the necessity of doing things 'en masse' in the baby homes but the feeding techniques and dedicated toilet sitting time break my heart!
What a great idea it was to leave those cameras between your trips. You will have the pictures to share when Alexis starts asking about her time at the orphanage.
Wonderful!
