We celebrated with dinner at Olive Garden tonight. Lexi was so well-behaved throughout the entire meal. She loves pasta and bread sticks!
Many families celebrate Gotcha Day, but I like the idea of celebrating our court date as our "Family Day". It is the day she officially became a part of our family - the date on her adoption certificate - the date our insurance coverage started for her. And since our ten day waiting period was waived and we were able to pick her up from the Baby Home the very next day, it felt like she was ours immediately.
So, December 2, 2008 will forever be remembered at our house as Family Day!

Congratulations!!! She's adorable!!! We brought home our baby girl on 11/29. Happy New Year!
Also, did you happen to stay at the Renaissance in Moscow right around Thanksgiving? Maybe we met--I was there w/ my Mom? I think we met in the lobby as we were going to the Embassy and if this was you, you and another adoptive mom w/ a son were going in a few days. If that wasn't you, then never mind--lol!
Here's our blog so you can see I'm not really crazy:P
