My goal was to have our Dossier submitted to Russia before we turned a year older. Well, we are very close, but we just missed that goal. Martin and I both celebrated another birthday this month. It's a bit ironic that just last week I heard an old Yiddish proverb that goes "Man plans, God laughs." I'll still keep right on planning, making lists, and setting goals, but over the years I've learned to roll with the punches and not get sidetracked by the little things in life ... you know, those pesky little things like birthdays!
I've found one of the best perks about having more birthdays is that eventually you can afford nicer presents! Here is a photo of my birthday present this year:
Martin and I had discussed upgrading our vehicle next year to better accomodate our growing family, but I thought it wouldn't be until late next year. This 2007 Ford Expedition (extended edition) has everything we need, including room for six car seats and lots of cargo space. He even ordered my favorite color. I just hope I don't become a magnet for speeding tickets!
But the greatest gift of all, hands down, is having another day, another week, another year with my wonderful husband and kids. Now, we just need to focus on getting our Dossier to Russia A.S.A.P. so our daughter will be here to celebrate our birthdays next year!

Kim, I'm thinking you might mean a 2007 Expedition, not a 1997? Thanks for the clothes. The cowboy boots are too cute!
How funny, Martin and I got married in 1997. Can you tell I've had to write that date on a few too many documents lately. Thanks for catching my error! Typos are one of my biggest pet-peeves - although I'm probably guilty way too often. :0)

If you're a speed magnet in that HUGE vehicle....I'm getting off the road! Take it easy!
