Home for the Holidays - NSO

On Thursday night, Preston and Garrett, along with the Blair Boy Choir and Concert Choir, performed with the Nashville Symph0ny 0rchestra for the Home for the Holidays concert. The music was wonderful and the singing was heavenly! Martin and I had balcony seats that were right above the stage where the choir was seated. It was our Date Night and really helped put me in the Christmas spirit!

Then, on Friday night, Preston and Garrett performed in Blair's Winter Concert. Last year, we had been home from Russia with Lexi for ONE DAY when they sang in this concert. It was the first time I dressed Lexi up in a party dress and got to show her off. Unfortunately, she was not interested in the music or sitting quietly at all, so we spent most of the time in the stair well and walking around the lobby. This year was so much better. She listened to about 75% of the concert while sitting in my lap and seemed to be in awe of the music. After every song she clapped the loudest and yelled "More!" while signing the word for more. It was very sweet and I was happy to not have to sit in the stair well again.

Lexi tried sitting in her own seat, but she's not quite heavy enough to keep it from folding her in 1/2. She got a big kick out of that! But, since it was a full house, I decided she was better off in my lap anyway. The funny thing was that she kept shaking her finger at the seats and saying "No, no, no, seat. No eat Lexi!"

Here are a bunch of photos from the past two nights.

They were right in front of the drum section

Garrett looks so thrilled doesn't he? I couldn't resist putting a top hat on him!

Oh, how she has grown!

She was such a baby last year. Now her favorite words are "I do wit!"

Still the little monkey, even in her pretty dress!

A collage of the seat folding Lexi in half - she is very flexible.
